Technical Support

Connection drops, speeds, and line issues.

First, restart your Wi-Fi router. Wait for 2 minutes and check if the 'PON' light is steady green and the 'LOS' light is OFF. If the 'LOS' light is blinking red, it means there is a fiber cut. Please raise a ticket on the Support page and our field team will be dispatched.

Check if you have crossed your monthly FUP limit of 3.3TB. Try connecting via the 5GHz Wi-Fi band or a LAN cable. Distance from the router, thick walls, and physical obstacles can also reduce wireless speeds significantly.

Recurring drops usually point to local electrical interference or an overloaded power source for the router. Plug the router directly into a wall socket (not a power strip shared with heavy appliances) and raise a ticket if it continues — our engineers can check line signal levels remotely.

ViberNet's fiber runs underground precisely so snow and storms don't take your connection down. AirFiber links are engineered with weather margins, though extreme conditions can briefly reduce speeds. If you face an outage during bad weather, report it — it is not expected behaviour.

Wi-Fi & Router

Passwords, placement, lights, and setup.

Connect to your network, open a browser, and type 192.168.1.1. Log in with the details printed on the back of your router. Go to WLAN settings and update your WPA Pre-Shared Key. Reconnect your devices with the new password afterwards.

Place the router centrally in your home, elevated on a shelf, away from thick concrete walls, metal cupboards, microwaves, and fish tanks. Every wall between you and the router costs signal strength — central placement beats corner placement every time.

PON steady green: your fiber line is healthy. LOS blinking red: fiber signal lost — raise a ticket. 2.4G/5G: your Wi-Fi bands are broadcasting. LAN: a wired device is connected. If PON is blinking, the line is syncing — wait 2 minutes before troubleshooting.

Yes — you can connect your own router behind the ViberNet ONT in bridge mode. Our provided Wi-Fi 6 router remains recommended for full support coverage, since our team can remotely diagnose it. Third-party equipment is configured at your own discretion.

Billing & Account

Payments, receipts, plan changes, and pauses.

Pay at my.vibernet.in using UPI, credit/debit cards, or net banking. You can also pay in person — with cash if you prefer — at any ViberNet store in Srinagar.

Yes, you can request a 'Safe Custody' pause for up to 3 months if you are traveling, for a nominal retention fee. Your account, equipment, and settings stay intact and service resumes the day you return.

Plan upgrades can be requested anytime through the customer portal. The new speed takes effect immediately upon payment of the difference amount. Downgrades apply from your next 30-day cycle.

Every online payment generates an instant digital receipt in the portal under Account History. For store payments, ask for a printed receipt at the counter — both are valid for reimbursement claims.
